Great Pyramid II - Egypt

Khufu the constructor of the Great Pyramid?
The Great Pyramid is closely related to the mythical King 'Khufu'. He is mythical because his body has never been found inside the Great Pyramid or in other 4th dynasty thombs. Also the bodies of Khafre and Menkaure, the 'constructors' of the two other Giza pyramids have never been found. How can we explain the relation between Khufu, so intensely related to the famous 4th and 5th dynasty of Kings and the Golden Pyramid Age?

For over two hundred years we are told by historians, scholars and archaeologists that Egypt was ruled by Kings and this view seems indeed correct. But these Egyptian Kings, and also other mythical Kings and rulers, never ever really existed as earthly human beings. Kings and Kingdom seems to be, from origin, purely a religious concept that offered many believers an explanation for one of the most curious, impressive, once-in-a-lifetime, apparition of our brightest periodic comet, now known by the name: Halley's Comet.

In the past many names, we call them now metaphors; have been applied for this strange astronomical event, now almost forgotten for its awesome appearance, related to many disasters and the death of Kings and sacrificial victims, has been banished from our collective memory.

So there is a very simple explanation for Khufu being the involved in the construction of the Great Pyramid: The Great Pyramid was not build by him but it has been built in honour of his return.  Every about 75-76 year Halley's Comet returns. The Great Pyramid has obviously been constructed as a memorial: a cenotaph. This explains also why the human body of Khufu will never be found. It is simply because he has been remembered as a translucent, shining and spiritual being. A spirit that could be watched by the naked eye best just before sunrise in the east or just before sunset in the west. The comet 'travelled' during the day, like a dungbeetle pushing a dungball, from the east to the west but was during the day often hidden by the bright sunlight. Khufu is not a stand-alone King. He is one of the many, many imaginary kings that once ruled Egypt. At least 40 different apparitions of Halley's Comet must have been known by the priest-astronomers (3100 BC/76 years = 40 apparitions) and maybe other (periodic?) comets might also been related to heavenly Kingsdomship.

Halley's Comet in 2497BC
Halley's Comet returned in the year 2497 BC (1) and was seen closest to the sun, at sunrise, probably with its tails 'hovering' above the sun disc, on November 1. The date of November 1 is reflected in the angle of the slopes of the Great Pyramid (2). The angles of the slopes of the Great Pyramid have exactly the angle of the sunrays on November 1, in this era, when the sun transits at midday.
Seventeen days later the comet becomes invisible and after November 17 the comet can not been seen anymore. On November 17 in this era, when the sun transits at midday, a bit of sunlight is allowed to enter the King's room when it falls into the southern shaft of the King's room (3). Seventeen is the number that is closely related to the construction of the Great Pyramid. For seventeen days, a King of Heaven ruled Egypt, and can be held responsible, be it indirectly, for the construction of the Great Pyramid.

The number 17 , 'Year of the 17th count of Khufu', has been found, in the gallery above the Kings Room, left by priest-astronomers-architects who designed the pyramid and the workers who actually built this pyramid, as a memory and as a testimony of the Kings return.

'Choefoe' meaning: 'longhaired'
Col. Garnier in his work 'The Great Pyramid: its builder and its Prophecy' explains: "The name "Shufu" which is related to the constructor of the Great Pyramid, as well as his successor, is just a nickname and it means "longhaired"...". And here we have another indication that King Khufu is nothing more than an apparition of Halley's Comet.

The word "comet" came to the English language through Latin cometes from the Greek word komē, meaning "hair of the head"; Aristotle first used the derivation komētēs to depict comets as "stars with hair." The astronomical symbol for comets accordingly consists of a disc with a hairlike tail.

Day of the Death and the Great Pyramid
By the start of the dynastic history of Egypt the Calender year started with November 1. In later times this date became November 17 (during the XII and XIX dynasties, the Ptolomy age and in the time of Plutarchus) (4).

Religion in Egypt is based on One God

There seems to be a great misconception of Egyptians venerating more than one god. It is true that there are many Egyptian gods like Osiris, Sobek, Horus, Khnum, Apis and many, many others, but to my opinion they all seem related to apparitions of Halley's Comet. The gods of Egypt seem to be 'constructed' of attributes of this bright comet. When a comet could only be seen at night than the god (osiris) 'stayed always in the dark'. When the outer parts of the iontail could be seen almost flat and its dusttail looked like a small beard these attributes 'constructed' the metaphor of a (bearded) ram-god: Khnum. When the comet could be seen flying, maybe very faintly, with the shape and colour of a white goose this apparition became related with Geb. In the sameway we might explain the Horus, the sacred white falcon, hovering through the air. Halley's Comet is a 'shapeshifter'. It shifts it shape sometimes during one apparition, when it can be seen for several weeks, but it certainly shifts shapes on successive apparitions. This might explain why Horus 'replaced' the god Set or, as it is known from many legends, 'had conflicts with Horus, Osiris and Isis' (5).
We don't have to have much fantasy to see the resemblances between Halley's Comet and the crocodile God Sobek: long tailed, feracious, deadly, monstrous, suddenly appearing, huge..... Sobek is related to the sun: Ra and so in Halley's Comet because it becomes visible when it is in the vicinity of the sun. That is probably the reason why almost all Egyptian gods, except for Osiris, are related to the sun.

Different metaphorical 'gods' are possibly created in different settlements in Egypt because many ancient Egyptian cities seem to have their own god of gods. Different settlements, different metaphors, which seem almost always related to the Halley's Comet tails (Bull, Sobek), Halley's Comet different 'shapes' (hairy like a beard or its shape resembling a sword, a spear, an arrow, a mace or a dagger), Halley's Comet colour during sunrise, sunset or at night (white, red, black). When Halley's Comet could be seen from aside it might have been noticed that the comet looked like a upright Cobra or the sting of a Scorpio. The hairy weavy dusttail of Halley's Comet might also looked like the ear of corn, a fishtail, a fern or feathers.

This is probaby the way we should look at the history of Egypt: Kings and animal-gods are all related to apparitions of Halley's Comet: one god; one creator. One celestial eternal spiritual creator being related to the sun.

Responsibility
I take fully responsibility for the accuracy of my theory. Which is ofcourse just a theory.
