Choirokoitia or Kirokitia is a pre-ceramic site probably related to the worship of an idol related to the 'horned' apparition of Halley's Comet. The site is probably related to the Turkish site of Catal Huyuk (Bullworship), the Jordan site of Jericho and the Lebanese site of Byblos. All site seem to be related knowledge in being able to predict the (next) returns of Comet Halley.
Concerning the following facts:
- every third return of Halley's Comet Planet Jupiter was in the constellation of Leo
- on every return of Halley's Comet, within a year, the two white warning eyes could be noticed: the heliacal parallel rising of planets Jupiter and Venus in the morning. In the days preceding and after the parallel rising the orbs of the planets seemed to cross.
The metaphors of Comet Halley in very ancient times were: goat (because of the horns (iontal) and beard), beard (because the beardlike appearance of the comet, long hair (because of the hairy appearance of the dust tail), fire (because the comet was always seen in the vicinity of the sun), bull (because the outer denser part of the iontail might have looked like two horns), an ear of grain (because of the structure of its long dusttail)
